I’ve been a psychotherapist in metro Atlanta for 40+ years, offering a space for meaningful conversations about you and your life. Our sessions will center around deep listening and thoughtful questioning, becoming more curious and less judgemental of self and others. I’ll offer perspectives and interpretations to help you gain new insights and clarity.
Curiosity about the human experience has shaped my life and work. I was raised in a family where faith and spirituality were everyday conversations. Over time, I came to appreciate both the enriching aspects of faith and how religious teachings can sometimes create challenges for personal well-being.
A pivotal part of my journey was moving to Asia at age 10, where I lived until graduating from high school. Experiencing life in multiple cultures taught me that there is always more than one way to view the world. This experience nurtured my deep respect for diversity and continues to shape my approach as a therapist.

Education and Approach
Originally trained in psychodynamic and systems theories, I continue to stay current with innovations in treatment, especially regarding trauma and the impact of neurobiology on mental and emotional health. When appropriate, our work may incorporate insights from mindfulness, internal family systems, imago therapy, and bilateral stimulation techniques.
My formal education includes:
- B.A. in Human Services and Social Philosophy – Mercer University
- M.Div. – Candler School of Theology, Emory University
- M.S.W. – University of Georgia
- Residency in Pastoral Counseling – Georgia Baptist Medical Center
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker and was a diplomate with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. I am currently a trainer in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy with ACPE.
For me, this work is more than a profession—it is my calling.
